A patient is placed within the hyperbaric chamber. The chamber is then filled and pressurized with concentrated oxygen. The patient is then allowed to rest within the chamber for up to two hours at a time to allow the body to absorb oxygen into the blood. Once the oxygen is absorbed into the blood, it is then distributed to the rest of the body and absorbed into the tissues where it promotes healing.
What conditions does HBOT help with?
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is FDA approved for treatment of a variety of conditions including: Gas bubbles in the Blood, Anemia, Burns, Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, Crush Injuries, Decompression Sickness, Gas Gangrene, Hearing Loss, Infection of the Skin and/or Bone, Radiation Injury, Skin Grafts, Vision Loss, and Non-healing Wounds.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy may also help with additional conditions like: Concussions, Chronic Fatigue, Post-stroke injuries or TBI, Parkinson’s Disease, Memory Loss, Brain Fog, Low Energy, Post Exercise Recovery, Sprain and Strain injuries, Epstein-Barr Virus, Post Surgical Healing, Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Migraines/Headaches, and Athletic Performance.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that involves the use of a pressurized room or chamber filled with concentrated oxygen. While a patient is inside of the pressurized chamber, oxygen is forced into the body and is dissolved within the plasma, increasing the body’s oxygen levels. The plasma then carries the oxygen throughout the rest of the body where it is absorbed by tissues to promote the body’s natural healing process.
